OPTIONS TO WORK IN SPAIN AS NON-EU CITIZEN

As an INVESTOR/Golden visa:




As an ENTREPRENEUR with special interest activities:


If you are coming to launch an entrepreneurial activity of general interest or of an innovative nature for Spain, you should ask for a residence permit as an entrepreneur and business activity. If you are granted this permit, you can stay and live in Spain (if you are already here legally), or you can apply for a visa (if you are located abroad). For fast-track entry under Act 14/2013, the business project must be considered of special interest to Spain. 



As SELF-EMPLOYED:


If the activity you want to pursue does not meet the requirements to be considered of special interest to Spain, you must follow the general immigration law (Organic Law 4/2000). You must apply for residence with self-employment. Residence with self-employment: visa and permit



As an HIGHLY QUALIFIED PROFESSIONAL OR RESEARCHER:


If you have been offered a job as a highly qualified professional, the company or organisation that is hiring you must apply for a residence permit. If you are already legally in Spain and have been granted a permit, you will have complied with this formality and you can stay to live and work.


 If you are outside Spain, the permit granted is a requirement for you to obtain a visa to come here to live and work. - Residence for highly qualified professionals: visa and permit



As a DIGITAL NOMAD:


Coming to Spain to work remotely or undertake professional activity for companies located outside Spain, via the exclusive use of IT, telematic and telecommunication media and systems. If so, you can request a visa or residence permit to live and work in Spain - Residency for digital nomads: visa and permit



As ANY OTHER WORKER:


No special treatment, just a normal work permit which may follow a non-lucrative visa provided you have a job with 40 hours a week and minimum pay.



MODIFY THE NON-PROFIT RESIDENCE PERMIT (1 year, extendable) TO A RESIDENCE AND WORK PERMIT



If the foreign citizen has a non-profit residence permit and has been residing in Spain for a year, they can choose to modify their non-profit residence permit to a residence and work permit.
